Expansion at Moore Blatch with Dispute Resolution Appointment
Increasing demand for commercial litigation expertise has prompted a key appointment at leading Hampshire law firm Moore Blatch.
Natalie McCarthy has joined the expanding dispute resolution department at Moore Blatch and will be working as a senior solicitor based in the Southampton office.
After studying law at the London School of Economics Natalie worked in London having trained and qualified at Herbert Smith.
At Moore Blatch her remit includes contract disputes, alternative dispute resolution and intellectual property litigation.
“When it comes to dispute resolution we consider all areas of the law to achieve the best outcome for our clients and we look at mediation first and avoid court proceedings if possible,’’ said Natalie. “This means we need to have both experience and expertise to resolve a wide range of situations.’’
Paul Whitaker, head of the dispute resolution team at Moore Blatch said he was delighted to welcome Natalie to the team and said her particular expertise gives the team additional strength in an expanding area of work for the firm.
“Dispute resolution is an important area of commercial law for us,’’ he said. “It is vitally important that we have the right mix of specialists to deal with the increasingly complex disputes we are now handling.’’
Moore Blatch has one of the region’s largest commercial divisions. With offices in Southampton, Lymington, Milford-on-Sea and Richmond it recently converted to a limited liability partnership and has more than 220 staff and a heritage dating back to 1797.
