“Wealthier individuals facing divorce or separation no longer need to seek the services of a London lawyer. We can provide the same level of expertise here in the South.”
Debra Emery, Partner and Head of Family

If you’re thinking about divorce or separation, be sure to talk to a specialist matrimonial lawyer who has experience relevant to your situation. We provide the quality of service one would usually associate with large London law firms and are highly experienced in representing wealthier individuals.

Our specialist family solicitors, based in Southampton and Lymington, Hampshire, offer sensitive and straight-forward advice on all matters associated with divorce and separation.

Where children are involved, naturally they are the priority, but it is important that your rights and their inheritance are fully protected. We advise in relation to business interests, property portfolios, pensions, substantial savings, valuable collections and we often deal with assets held abroad.

No divorce is easy, but we work hard to ensure everything is dealt with as amicably and cost effectively as possible. We make sure you are aware of all your options, including mediation and collaborative law.

When going through the process of a divorce, it is also important to bear in mind the impact that this has on your Will.  On divorce, your ex husband or wife will be deemed to have predeceased you for the purposes of beneficial entitlement in your estate.  Also, if you have appointed your spouse as your executor, they will no longer be able to act in this capacity which could mean that you have no-one specifically appointed to administer your estate.  The selection of appropriate guardians will also need to be considered in light of the changed circumstances.  Read more about creating a new Will
